Meet the Superintendent

Dr. Watkins has also completed the following training programs through the Georgia School Superintendents Association (GSSA): The Human Resources Institute (2015), District Office Professional Development Program (2017), and the Superintendents Professional Development Programs (2019).

Dr. Watkins is an active member of the following professional and civic organizations: The Georgia School Superintendents Association, the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, National Education Association, Georgia Association of Educators, Professional Association of Georgia Educators, and Georgia Association of School Personnel Administrators, and the Georgia Association for Curriculum and Improvement Specialist. He was inducted into the following Professional Education Honor Societies:  Kappa Delta Pi and Pi Eta Lambda. He is a member of the following civic and fraternal organizations: Wrightsville Rotary Club, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Life Member). He received the William L. Crump History Award from Kappa Alpha Psi in 1993.   

Dr. Watkins is married to Sylvia Watkins, is the father of Marcus Watkins, and is the son of Betty Watkins. He also serves as bi-vocational pastor of Millville Baptist Church in Dublin, Georgia.
